OK, I'm wavering on my wedding colors (eeek!). At first it was black & white, then black/white/red. Now I've seen some very pretty colored bridesmaids dresses over the weekend and I'm thinking of changing my what I had in mind as the colors.
I've not asked bridesmaids to be in the wedding yet, and nothing has been purchased besides invitations (which are plain white). So I'm still in a "no harm done" situation.
How many of you just knew your colors and were done with it? How many of you went back and forth a bit?
How did you decide upon your colors?

Our intended date is 10/31/2009 - yes, Halloween. I don't want the girls looking like pumpkins, but I do want dark fall colors. There are two shades of blue that I liked (@ David's Bridal - Peri and Serene) and my favorite color is purple (I found "Eggplant" in Alfred Angelo's line). My idea is to decide upon the color and have a sash on my dress in that color and all the bridesmaids will have that color as well.

I went back and fourth a number of times. We got the bridesmaid dresses picked out but there were way to many colors to choose from. I figured that would be the way to go is find the dress and then decide on colors.... Yeah right!! Well, I finally decided on my colors the day that we ordered the dresses. Myself and the Bridesmaids took a vote on the dress color (as I had it narrowed down to 4) and we all agreed on the same one. Good luck to you!

Glad to know you are being swayed away from black! Eggplant would be lovely for the fall!
I didn't choose colours til we picked the bridesmaid dresses. It was a July wedding, and the girls chose a lovely printed summery type dress - white, with little flowers in pink, lilac, yellow and light teal leaves (was kind of a watercolour-painted feeling) - so those were the colours we used for the wedding. It was bright and beautiful!

Oct. 2009, that's a long way off to settle on a color now. I liked lavender and white but changed my mind to Red, white and Black because my wedding was taking place in the evening at a nice fine reception. I wanted to have the feel of comfortable but nice.
Halloween wedding, a friend of mine had her colors but they all came in with those eye covers with sequins just for the feel of Halloween. I think it would look neat with an orange but not that bright pumpkin orange, black and cream. That would livin things up for a party atmosphere.

I had a spring wedding and since I knew it would be outdoors, I stuck with bright and pastel colored flowers. My only problem was choosing a sash color for my Maid of Honor. My invites resembled the fabric from my bridesmaid dresses, so no matter what I was committed to something that made you think SPRING TIME!

it is your wedding ceremony - did no longer you already know the dress replaced into the only? So why are you asking with regard to the shoes? do unlike attempt to placed on those shoes - discover the shoes that are an analogous feeling by way of fact the only, like the dress, clean your schedule, on account which you may discover shoes, each little thing else might nicely be resolved and worked out - shoes could be gentle, you would be in them for what sounds like continuously, don't get something weird and wonderful which you do no longer understand the way it suits I propose a less complicated designed shoe - comparable shade as your dress, you fairly could understand the thank you to tug off the rest, no time to threat till your paying somebody $450 an hour to steer you don't get an entire enormous broche finding situation on the precise of the tip of the shoe, get some thing less complicated and a less complicated wonderful trim that offsets your exact and not compete with one yet another, you prefer to augment, those 2 conflict and you maintain the dress and discover diverse shoes recap: despite shade your exact trim is, comparable shade trim around a standard ivory shoe with enormous easy wonderful jewel up front yet no longer too enormous that it competes with the dress

I decided my colors based on my Senior ball gown a few years back...it's tangerine and I loved the color against my skin tone. Most of my bride's maids have the same skin tone as me, but also the ones that are tan will look great in this color too. I am having a spring wedding, so I decided to pair this color with celery green and a light turquoise color.

When is your wedding? that was a huge factor in my wedding - since we had an October wedding we obviously used fall colors - our main color was Cinnamon! So if you are having a spring wedding you would probably want to go with bright colors! and if you were having a winter one, then maybe deep, warm colors!
Good luck!

Hands down i am going to go with Blue/Brown/Green they really complement each other... It also depends on the month you plan to get married. If its summer you want light colors if winter go for dark. Don't just go for black and white it will look like a funeral.

My wedding is black and white with hints of red! Its going to be beautiful and i highly recommend it.
BUT, if you want to stick to fall colors, i recommend browns (cafes or mochas) or a sage green. Those are beautiful colors and actually compliment eachother really well.

my fiancee and i each got to pick one of the colors. Black was his fave, and pink mine. Then I couldn't decide on which pink to go with. Finally after weeks of driving everyone nuts I decided to go with a pale pink and fuchsia.
