I'm still trying to figure out what the "gay agenda" is. Obviously the only ones with an agenda are the people who are trying to make it seem like we have some big agenda when we don't. Except maybe tolerance.

They are referring to federally-backed secularization, which they understandably oppose. Atheists feel that to call secularization an agenda is sort of a paranoid contruct, which also has validity. It's like a family quarrel since nobody cares anyway except fundies & atheists.

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The Atheist Agenda is an organization founded in 2005 by a group of atheist and agnostic students and teachers from the University of Texas at San Antonio. The group is dedicated to the philosophy of free thought, as well as promoting aggressive activism against theology and theological institutions, encouraging non-believers to take pride in their history and community, and providing to them the same fellowship that those of a religious background share. The Agenda frequently holds meetings open to all who wish to learn, and is known for staging demonstrations (most notably the "Smut for Smut" campaign) in the San Antonio and Austin areas, to make their viewpoints known. Since its creation, the Atheist Agenda has grown from small gathering of students to a group of hundreds, with members at The University of Texas and The University of Houston in addition to those at UTSA.

I'm with Lucan on this one:
"At the moment our goal is to get the King James Bible printed on softer, more absorbent paper."
But the agnostic agenda is at odds with the atheist agenda. They want the Bible printed on cherry-flavored paper that sticks together well when moistened. Damn their intolerance!

first ,?, you suck, secondly you can hardly get any to people to agree on the current weather conditions if they are standing under the same umbrella, much less to unite under the generic term atheist.so lighten up people.third there is no actual constitutional separation of church and state only the prohibition of a state established religion which most of the founding fathers were fleeing in the first place.

it really depends on the person, some don't care, some are just wanting to destroy things around them, others are brilliant and want nothing more than to study and be left alone
some are in my opinion like children, they have an idea and run with it not knowing where it leads,
just like every other group of people
the difference is however, they wrestle with God, and in the end, they lose

i guess i will let you in on our secret....we have decided to get together and write a book. we will use this to control people's minds and actions. the book will be about people who lived thousands of years ago, and did things we have no proof of, we will claim things that make no sense and say that they are true. finally we will claim that all this was possible through joe pesci (george carlin insisted on this). and if you do not follow the commandments of joe pesci you will be sent to a horrible place where you will burn forever while watching i dont know "waiting to exhale" or some equally bad chick flick.
joe pesci's ten commandments
1.thou shalt not "wack people", unless they are rat bastards.
2.thou shalt not steal, unless joe pesci gets 10%.
3.thou shalt forget about my movie "gone fishing"
4.thou shalt not covet anothers goods, during business hours.
5.thou shalt not lie, unless the truth can get you in trouble.
6.thou shalt not get married, only joe pesci is allowed to torture.
7.thou shalt not pray to me, i have better thins to do.
8.thou shalt not bear false witness, else ye be wacked. as stipulated in commandment 1
9.thou shalt think for thyself.
10.thou shalt eliminate all religions, they are unnecessary, evil, and create ignorant pompous ***holes.

Mine is sitting in the hotel lobby, drinking lattes, and surfing the web... Then my atheist agenda will involve lunch, some time people watching, and possibly a few beers by the beach.
