I do not believe in the Trinity. Jesus stated many things that indicates He is not God, but the Son.

You have to believe in Jesus before you are likely to encounter the reality of the Trinity - ie knowing God through Jesus, the Holy Spirit and God the Father.
Otherwise it does look to the natural mind hard to comprehend ("the natural man receives not the things of the Spirit of God"). The idea that man is more than just a body is also, to just physical eearthly reasoning crazy, but none of us will be going to heaven if we are in fact just a lumps of meat and don't have spirits as well as minds and bodies. Hence a person can be very intellectual and pleased with himself and think he is right but actually reject what is a fundamental reality.
So believe in the gospel redemption message and God will reveal these things to you as you grow in faith, or indeed you may find out very soon after encountering the living God. When you believe in Christ the sin barrier comes down and God can communicate with you in ways He could not before.
If you are a christian, which would be most unlikely if you don't believe the Trinity read "Good morning Holy Spirit" by Benny Hinn.

Typical answer : Father, Son and Holy Spirit
My answer: The old world before christianism always referred to a trinity as the 3 lights that brings the spirit to discover itself. Love, wisdom and truth. The Holy Trinity is a poor copy of this old belief. Look at the Easter, Christmas and other "Catholic" festivities. All are copies or cover ups of the pagan versions. The Holy Trinitys true meaning is in the past.

Hey a decent question! (beats the brad pitt one!)
Ok, God is the Father, Christ is the Son and The Hoyl spirit is the instructor. Together is How they work God created the World WITH Jesus (Read The first few verses of John--Jesus is the WOrd) The holy spirit is to occupy the Earth AFTER JEsus leaves. JEsus says this in the gospel. God refers to JEsus as his son (see the baptism) JEsus refers to God as his father (IF you have seen me you have seen the Father) The spirit's role int he trinity is to help believers to understand the word. When a time comes when someone asks you what to say and you do not know, the spirit will tell you what to say. You pray to all three. you sing to all three as well. all three are improtant. God is the maker andfather, JEsus is the lamb the bridegroom and the sacrifice, the one who makes us worthy to be seen by God and the Hoyl spirit is the one who makes us able to communicate with others. He also gives us the gift of speaking in tongues.

A couple of ways that were used to describe it when I was taking confirmation class (20 years ago) were:
A clover has three leaves, but it is still all one plant/stem (whatever).
A triangle has three sides, it has to have all three to be a triangle and no side is more or less important than any other side.
God the Father created everything that has ever come into being. Jesus (The Son) was begotten from God and sent to Earth to live among us and experience our humanity so that he could die to save us. The Holy Spirit (in some places called the Comforter) was sent to be with us after Jesus ascended into heaven so that we could still have God present among us.
No one will ever understand it perfectly, but that's OK.

I am not a believer in the Trinity. I see the Holy Spirit as an active force rather than an actual person, and Jesus as the Son of God rather than God himself.

I understand the holy Trinity to be:
Within the one unique holy God, there has been revealed 3 persons or personalities: God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit. Each of these persons are distinctly and wholly the one and only God. They exist to glorify God from all eternity, coequally and coeternally loving eachother.

Each people can think, can feel and can act... but the thought, the feeling and the actions are one into the other... that is, the three are always together, but with different stress. I a balanced action the three sides of the triangle have the same measure... it is an equilateral triangle.
Similar is the Trinity: Father, Son, and Holy Ghost are sides of a same equilateral triangle.

The holy Trinity consists of God the Father, God the Son and God the holy spirit. Stating it is easy. Understanding it, now that's another matter.Complicated.
