The heart is almost completely developed and the heart rate can be heard on a Doppler machine at the doctor's office. Most major organs and tissues have developed and red blood cells are now produced in the liver. The face is well formed and the eyes are almost fully developed. The eyelids will close and not reopen until the 28th week. Arms, hands, fingers, legs, feet, and toes are fully formed. Nails and earlobes start to form and tooth buds develop in the gums. Fetus can make a fist with its fingers. Testosterone (male sex hormone) is produced by the testes in male fetus.

Our bodies no matter how tiny or old are wonderful. To think how it all comes together so carefully.
How could someone read that or even see an ultrasound picture and then say "that is not a life"!
Sure that baby could not survive on its own, but it shouldn't have to at that age. That's why there are mothers who should protect that tiny life until it is ready to be born.

The Bible says that life is in the blood. Blood forms almost immediately. Abortion is murder. Lots of things can't survive on their own. My 10 month old couldn't, does that mean she is disposable?.What about the elderly or mentally retarded? Also, God gave us dominion over the animals. They don't have souls. They are here for our use ( even for food and clothing ).

I just read 3 cold hearted answers and I now know why abortion is legal. The hearts are hard and cold and love cannot get into them. They think only of their pleasure and killing babies is nothing to them.

And? The brain has just started to develop at that point. At thirteen weeks, it is still only 3 inches long.
It's still a part of the mother and really isn't viable on its own.

all that is a fact but whats your point. do you have a question? let me ask you one. can the fetus live out side the womb at 9-12 weeks? that would be NO so what are you trying to say?

I don't know the point you're trying to make but regardless of the statements you have made, it's still a "fetus" until it takes it's first breath of air.

okay, take it out of the mother and see if it lives at 9 weeks gestation. if it does, i'll change my thoughts on abortion rights.
