People who can't have children because of illness, because they are lesbian, or because they CAN'T FIND A MAN!! Tend to be very judgemental or critical about other people who are raising their children (Especially women who are single parents) do you think this is towards the person individually, or due to the fact that they feel they could do a better job and envy the person for being BLESSED with something they can never have naturally... I say ADOPT and raise your own children - - in other words MIND YO OWN DAMN BUSINESS!!!

Just like it is painful to hear someone say something towards a person who can't have children. It is also painful to hear a person judge every aspect of parenting skills (non abusive) of a person who can, beliving that since you are a "single" parent you shouldn't be allowed to have children...

You must have had some seriously rude experiences to make you so bitter, but I can assure you there is no reason to be. Most people who can't have children do not have to first hand experience of handling a terrible two screaming in public (A normal kid doing his thing) and therefor may be taken aback But my experience is that they seem to take it with a grain of salt.My sister could not have children, nor could my aunt, and although they may have privately suffered about this, they were always very supportive and playful with kids in general and my kids in specific. Don't judge all people by the bad behavior of a few.

Why don't you take your own advise and mind your own damn business? Boo-hoo... people are/have been judgemental to you. Sounds like you're no saint yourself in your rant up there. Get over it and move on. Life has more important things to be worried about than who is being judgemental/critical and why... like taking care of those kids you mentioned. Do you even know where they are or what they're doing right now? See, anyone can be a jerk. So instead of getting all ticked off and ranting about it, why not just let it go and worry about more important things. Life is so much better when you don't sweat the petty stuff...

I agree with Betsy and Expecting #1...both very appropriate answers. Everyone has an opinion on how we should raise our children whether they have children or not.
I was infertile for 14 years, its very traumatic. None the less, now that I have a child, my opinions of some peoples child rearing abilities have NOT changed.

Aren't you judging them? My mother was unable to have children for 13 years after having a miscarriage and I can tell you she was anything but rude towards those who were able to have children. Why don't YOU mind your own business. You will never know what is like to have a childless life until you've lived one. It's extremely painful and emotional for some. Don't be so rude.

And obviously, from this question, there are those of us who CAN have children that are critical of the NORMAL feelings of those that can't.
In answer to your question, in GENERAL, yes, but thats human nature, its anger, and its hurt. All perfectly normal emotions to go through while coming to terms with a situation.

If people minded their own business to people who shouldnt have children, for instance abusing them, there would be a lot more of abused children.

Some people just get jealous. There is nothing you can do to change that. Just smile and go on.
