I think the Bible is a guide book......but it doesn't cover any new construction in the road of life, so you have to use the knowledge you've gained from it to make an educated decision.

I guess you could say the holy spirit is a good guide, but the rules and regulations (so to speak) are in the Bible. There are stories and parables to help you make the right decisions in life. I wouldn't count on the holy spirit alone to make your journey. You need to rely on the Word of God (the Bible) along with the feeling you get from the Holy Spirit.

YOU GOT IT! Goodness I wish so many more could. When people hear The Word, they are led to God. The Torah talks of the Words of The Prophets. These were God's spokesmen (and women-LOL). Later prophets had the Scrolls of the Torah plus the inspired breathe of God. In the New Testament, The Word of Jesus brought salvation, and then The Word that was spoken by the apostles and disciples, since it was The Word Of The Lord, brought that salvation. So it continues today.

God is always calling out to His creation. Some have just gotten duller hearing for Him than others. Others have a harder will. Yet others have unforgiveness. It is still His Word that is out there calling to us. Yes it starts always with His Holy Spirit, too.

God Bless.

The Bible is the one and final authority. The Holy Spirit will always direct you to the Bible and remind you of things from it, said Jesus in the Bible. The Holy Spirit is the Author of the Bible.

They both should be lifelong aids to your walk with God. You can go back and read something anew in the Bible and it can take on additional meaning to you. Sometimes experience helps you to understand the Bible more. Sometimes the Holy Spirit will remind you of the scriptures you have read, and reveal the meaning to you. It's all a partnership.

When the holy spirit decended upon the Apostles of Jesus it was then that they obtained a complete knowledge of the Holy Scriptures. The holy spirit will only give you incite into the precepts of the scriptures that you are willing to accept.

For the most part yes. Scripture is there to help us on our journey. God is not limited to the Bible no more then we're limited to a book. Catch my drift?

Yes......

As we grow in grace, we also grow in wisdom with His help.
The Bible is the only book in all creation where the Author sits with you while you read it.
