Not yet, but there may come a time.
The biggest problem to overcome would be that of tissue compatibility. The human body tends to treat foriegn tissue as it would treat invading bacteria or viruses. The tissue is "regected," and the body fights it off by trying to destroy the invading tissue. We call this process the "immune system."
Doctors can overcome this, partially, by, first, genetically matching tissue so that it most closely matches that of the recipient. The closer the tissue is to the recipient's the less the body fights it off because it "thinks" it is normal, "home grown" tissue. Doctors also provide drugs that supress the body's immune system, so that the new tissue can survive and thrive in the new environment. Problem with these drugs is that the body NEEDS the immune system working properly to fight off the infections that threaten to invade the body as part of everyday life. For some tissue transplant cases, the patient has to continue the immuno-supressant drugs for the rest of his life. Pretty risky prospect, when you consider that, even, exposure to someone's common cold could be fatal to somene with no immune system. (remember the "bubble boy")
Finally, from your example, think about the, simple, mechanical aspects of using a rabbit's eye to replace a human one. It would be a good fit, in the, relatively, large human eye socket. Perhaps a pig's or a cow's eye would be a better fit.
Note to "Steve B": Many of us ARE walking around with animal parts. Pig's heart valves are keeping thousands of people alive, right now.
