Hi,
my 13 year old son desperately wants a playstation 3 for xmas!!!
we do not really want to pay £350 for the 60GB
Is the 40 GB ok??
I know you can't play ps2 games etc on it but don't really worry about that!!!!
do you agree with me that the 40gb is fine for him???????

thanks in advance!!!!

The differences are smaller memory, no backwards compatibility, 2 less USB ports and no ports for Multimedia cards but none of that should really matter to your kid and the with the money saved you could probably get an extra game.

Yeah, The 40GB Is Good, However I would consider Spending The £50 More. This Means You Can Buy some Good Exclusive PS2 Games Whilst The PS3 Range Of Games Continues To Grow.

hi,ps3s gone cheap now,40gb is good but i would prefer to get the 60gb version,it all depends if hes going to use it and to save games alot!
theres not much diffrence in price, but i am sure 40gb will do the job 4 a 13yr old! lol

Ive got all my music and family photos, About 800photos and a few hundred song a few videos clips on a 60GB and i still have a pointless 58GB of space left.
Ive played a few of my PS2 games on it too. no problem.
How he can use up 40GB of space is beyond me.
That says it all really.

40GB is very good. It just can't play old PS2 games, has 2 USBs instead of 4 and has no memory card reader.
