ANYTHING BUT BROWN.
Green sounds nice or maybe a nice burgundy/wine color.

Some one once said "If you cant match then contrast"!
Not sure if I agree with that, Brown an beige seem OK to me.
Now is the time to contrast , just try hanging a white bed sheet up the window and see what you think about the contrast in color. If it seems to suit do the curtains and chair the same.
It is just a matter of your own taste really , just try that out, I'm sure you will like it, I do.

Blue is the complent to brown it depends a lot on the shades and the light in the room.

Add some light, and bright colors - in chairs, drapes, and throw pillows.
white or ivory
rose or red
peach or orange
banana, lemon, or gold
leaf, grass, or forest green
aqua, turquoise, teal
Then, some plants... a few pix or large mirrorframed in gold or copper or golden brown wood...and a few ornaments in different materials [ porcelin, metal, stone, wood, fabric ].
