OK, I just thought it would be fun to see what kined of dates I get from people. My boyfriend FINALLY asked me to marry him but we really don't have a clue on what day to "do the deed." I thought this would be a great way to get some ideas :)

Whatever day is special to the two of you. My fiancee and I chose May 25, 2008 because our anniversary is May 22 and that is Memorials Day weekend. We also noticed that when we celebrate 5 yrs together May 22, 2009 that will be the weekend we celebrate our 1 yr wedding anniversary May 25, 2009. That is our wedding date story. Congrats.

I recommend choosing a day that is special to you.
My hubby and I married on Dec 27th, because that was the day he first told me he loved me.
We considered the 29th of Dec because that was my parents anniversary, but felt the 27th was more special to us.

Do you both enjoy a specific holiday, or have some special time of the year? That is what I would look at.

some date that falls a distance form both your birthdays, and otehr holidays. My parents have both birthdays, christmas and anniversary between thanksgiving and the second week of January. I'd spread things out some. unfortunately I am not heeding my own advice. My birthday is June 29 and we are getting married June 7th. Bt his birthday isn't till september 25th. Oh well.

Whatever day you can both get to the place where you want to get married along with the 'officiator' (priest/rabbi/mayor/whatever). Everything else is optional details.

Something tells me you're not mature enough to be getting married if you need to rely on stranger to decide the date for you. Sorry.
