Who is at fault? YOU are! You are cheating the government out of taxes. You are cheating a Americans out of jobs. You are selling out your country and breaking several laws and ALL for the all-mighty dollar. YOU are what is wrong with this country.
How about watching your own kids, cleaning your own house and cutting your own grass? If you HAVE to be lazy, then pay for it like everyone else. Why are YOU so special? Why should YOU be allowed to break laws and enable other law breakers simply because it's "cheaper"?

if illegals were not here they could not be taken advantage of. my recommendation is for their own well being that they go back to their country of origin. save us from ourselves please. bad, bad americans. bad americans. oh by the way i have done one of those jobs that americans will not do as have many other americans. as a single adult, mother of 3 small children i delivered newspapers for 4 years 7 months. they did not pay pay roll taxes as i was self employed, no workers comp., no sick time, holidays, vacation or health insurance 365 days a year. i had 1 and 1/2 days off during that time. i don't know what dream world you live in but most jobs do not have sick pay, holiday pay or health care and guess what if you bring a person on your property and they get injured they can file a claim against your home owners insurance so they don't need workers comp or health insurance as to injury again a benefit not afforded to most people with regular jobs. additionally to get cash they are not having taxes taken out which gives them more money in their pocket. like the others i mow my own lawn, and do my own domestic work. despite the fact that i generally work 7 days a week 10 to 12 hour days and am often so tired driving is a chore. please don't try to argue a point when you don't have the worldliness to do so.

You also say that the only reason we are not doing what the poster is doing is that "Instead they only hate because deep down they are racist themselves. Its the only logical explanation for not wanting to have a more economic efficient lifestyle".
An illegal alien is NOT a race, so how can people be "racist" that are against illegal aliens??
And what the poster is describing is NOT "a more economic efficient lifestyle". What she's describing is A CRIME. You DO realize it is a crime to knowingly hire an illegal alien, do you not? THAT is the logical explanation why we would not agree to hire an illegal alien. That and the fact that most Americans prefer to entrust our children's care to professionals.
Infinity
It IS a crime for employers to knowingly hire illegal aliens. Do you somehow believe that this lets illegal aliens off the hook?? How about those working with fake or stolen IDS. Do you think this is a crime?? In case you didn't know, it's a felony.
Are your nanny, housekeeper, and gardener illegal aliens? You don't say they are. If they are, are you aware you are committing a crime? Do you care? Why do you not hire people in this country legally?? Why do you not entrust your children to professionals? Did you check the background and credentials of these illegal aliens if that's what they are, or did you blindly trust them to watch your children and your home?

The portion of the equation you listed helps Americans.
Here is the other half.
Your nanny, because she is employed illegal, can claim Welfare benefits in California that give her an additional $30 an hour, coming out of taxpayers pockets. The same goes for the other three workers.
While here, they will probably have children. These kids will be born completely at taxpayer expense, be given free everything and lower the public school quality by requiring bilingual education and taking away money from our children.
Every person in your story will inevitably get sick. This will be paid for by all of us.
It is also likely that at least one of those people will commit a felony while here and go to jail. In 2003, there were 100,000 illegal aliens in California's state prisons. This does not include federal prisons. This has an enormous cost associated with it.
Which is larger, cost or benefit?
At least compare both.

I pay my daycare $2.00 and hour per child, I clean my own house, I do my own laundry and I cook for my family. My husband cuts the grass and trims the hedges. Learn to be self sufficient, or be fair and pay people a fair wage. You are one of the many problems of illegal immigration, because you do not believe you need to be fair to the workers you hire.
Because you do not offer health insurance these people who work for you will have to take themselves and their children to the emergency room for general health care. And not pay for it. They will receive food stamps and other government taxpayer funded assistance. Clearly you and your laziness to do these simple tasks yourself, or your cheapness, are the one who is at fault.

Probably not (well, you could probably find a teenager willing to cut your grass & trim your hedges for 20 bucks), and with good reason - you're breaking the law and exploiting desperate people.
You are at fault, first and foremost. You should be in jail for tax evasion and labor law violations. (Sentences to run consecutively.)
There is also certainly some blame to be shared by the workers you're exploiting (who are also breaking the law, if out of desperation rather than laziness and greed), and by the corrupt governments and failed economies of thier homelands (who somehow obstructed them from any opportunities better than being slaves in America).
If that's all you can afford to pay for the vitally important task of /raising your own children/, then you shouldn't be paying anyone to do it, you should do it yourself.

You are in violation of IRS and Social Security rules, unless you suddenly become law abiding when tax time rolls around.
The law requires you to pay SS for your employees - 7.5% of their salaries, and withhold their portion as well - your nanny is definitely that, your housekeeper is a possiblity. Of course, you should also be paying into unemployment insurance, as an employer, and you are paying below minimum wage.
Who is at fault? It is you. YOU have chosen to break the law and are aiding and abetting others who wish to break the law as well. No legal employee will put with salaries and conditions like that.

I say, boy you should be grateful that you are not living in the Netherlands because you would be in deep doo doo for having 3 illegals working for you illegally.
You are also a slave driver and a bad mother for leaving you children with a stranger for 12 hours a day.
You pay sub standard wages and are anti union as well.
So you are at fault for the ills of society.
Clean your own house and cook food for your husband and children. Cut your own lawn and hedges, the exercise will do you good and you will develop pride knowing your hard working ancestors are looking down on you and bragging about what a good person you are.
PS: Eat more fruits and vegetables picked by legal workers, it will help to keep you regular and give you energy to do your own chores.

You are at fault for providing income as the employer and not witholding and reporting tax deductions for their earnings. It is also some state law requirements that workman's comp is to be deducted in case they injure themselves at your house and sue you.
Oh yes you can be arrested and found guilty if any problems occur.
As for their health care, NO employer is required to provide
health care OR vacation/sick leave for employees. Besides, chances are good their public assistance programs have it covered, especially if they have kids.

You probably should be paying more, truthfully. We used to pay $15 per hour for our housekeeper, we pay $70 per day for childcare. My children go to a licensed native-born person.
We had a mother's helper for 18 months that was from Mexico. We paid her $10 per hour, and, she took care of the kids, cleaned, and cooked for us.
You can get Americans to do it, though. There are highschool kids that will mow the lawn and clean the house. There are people that will cook for you (from your home or theirs) for a flat fee and will do a whole weeks meals.

Of course, you have determined all on your own how badly you can exploit someone, ignoring the laws that protect citizens of the USA, so I expect you're happy with your exploitable illegal immigrants, 'nuff said.
OBTW, I paid MY child care person enough to watch my three children when I was a single parent, that she had to file taxes - was it expensive? Sure, but MY kids were worth it!
