I want to get them something that they will enjoy as well as learn something valuable about life. No religious stuff please.

"The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants". A wonderful movie for young women - all about friendship and growing up.
"Now and Then" is a similar friend movie.
"Whale Rider" is a great movie for girls questioning societal limitations on their abilities.
Pretty much anything Disney is a safe bet, too.

its that one movie wiith will smith and his son i think that it is called the persuit of happyness and he is really poor and he has to sleep in the bathroom because the homeless shelter closed to early and it is a good movie because he applies for a good paying job and he gets the job blah blah blha trust me its a greay movie

If they are into sports, "We are Marshall" is great for boys or girls, if not, "The Princess Diaries" is a good movie.
