I've been in love with my best friend for a couple of years. The day I was going to bring up the topic of us possibly dating, he told me he's re-visiting his ex-girlfriend. AHH!! Yet I'm still the one he calls every night before he goes to sleep, "the person who knows him better than anyone" and his best friend. I don't know what to do.

from most peoples point of view friendship is in the top things a relationship that lasts needs along with trust,loyalty, and open minded views on what each other has to say.
i hate to mention it because its the most common answer i hear in situations like this but you really have to ask if you can handle them responding negatively to you if you tell them.
my view on that generalized answer is ive done both and recieved open arms and rejection alike along with never telling them and personally id rather tell them than always constantly wonder what they think because eventually if you dont tell them and they find someone else it could tear your friendship apart regardless through shear jealousy on your part.
the real question is are you willing to let him go on living while you admire from a distance when you could be waking up in his arms every morning.

Unless you know that he loves or likes you too then I wouldn't do anything about it? Just by bringing up the fact that you love him could ruin your friendship completely... although that depends on the person; he may be the type to just laugh it off after a while.
This isn't the type of question that people can get trustworthy advice of because it all depends on the situation and us answerers can't tell what the situation is. You need to trust your own instincts and go along with it. It's down to you.

well in this kind of situation then ithere wait for it or ask him just a random question do you really want your ex back? maybe or just wait untill he is single or maybe i would say to help him cus if someone wants to go back wit some one sometimes you have to be a lot more awake soo i would say to,NOT be a stalker but keep an eye on your best friend soo he wan't get his heart broken or something ok good luck on dat ok

How old are the two of you?? You need to tell him how you feel. Keep in mind...telling him could jeopardize your relationship. If he can't handle hearing that you have stronger feelings for him...that could put a bit of a bump in your relationship. His ex is an ex for a reason. That won't work. People very rarely break up and get back together for long. Tell him how you feel. Just bite the bullet and tell him. You don't want to beat yourself up forever wondering what might've been. Start flirting with him more and giving him little touches and wearing sexier outfits around him. Get yourself noticed and then just tell him!!! You'll never know unless you try. You need to tell him before time runs out, this is very important that you tell him because he might feel the same way and then you two will be together and he doesn't need to go see his ex. Just be brave & good-luck!

Tell him..right now..let him know that he has you and he will.... and if he turns you down or says no way! just imagine that him knowing is better than him dying in a freak accident and you never getting to tell him..trust me..if i could have told my friend that i loved him i would have..i woudl rather him either say i loveyou to..or sorry i dont..than to have lost him to a motorcycle accident and never get to talk to him agin...you wont know what could happen if you dont go for it!

tell him. just don't do it if either of you are drunk or tired.
most of the time men are the last to know what they are actually feeling towards someone. they miss the obvious. so bring it to his attention. just be open and accepting of any, or quite possibly, no reaction from him about it. it may take a bit of time to sink it.
