Cats will play with just about anything, but with the holidays coming up make sure they don't get ahold of any tinsel - they can swallow it, and it can cause all kinds of problems with their tummies or even bowel obstructions. Cats LOVE to climb the tree once it's up, they must think that they are the cutest decoration on it!! Make sure the tree is anchored so that the cat can't topple it.

Some cats have the greatest fun with wads of paper and aluminum foil. Others like tennis balls, golf balls, and squishy balls. The last time I made an afghan, I had an extra square. And my oldest cat just loved carrying that around and wrestling with it.

Then there are the toys-on-strings and the jingle-balls. And once in a novelty store, I even found a ball that would twitter and blink lights when you rolled it. Our kitty contingent positively loved that!

Cats will play with anything. Most like to play with toys caontaining catnip. Generally they like wool, string, shoelaces, anything that is bright. When they are kittens clockwork toys like mice are fun or cat balls. However some do not like these as they do not like the sound of the bell.

anything they can attack but not really get hurt by. i made this brill toy for my m8s cats: get an old sock that uve grown out of (with no holes in) , some paper, some string and scissors. make about 4 paper balls out of 2 sheets of A4, stuff them ur sock, then tie a knot in the sock near the end (so the balls cant get out) tie some string around the sock just bellow the knot and then pull the sock along the floor, the paper makes a gr8 sound if u jump it around a bit.

have fun

ps. if you go round a corner and take it out of sight then the cat(s) will wanna know where their prey is goin and put ur scent on it so its farmiliar

my cats play with anything, they love their stuffed mouse that hangs in the doorway, unrolling tp and their little balls with bells in. They are also fascinated by the bathrub drain, it gurgles when someone is taking a shower. The girls think this is amazing and try to get the drain cover off. My cats like to grab the buff puff off its hook and run like crazy, steal rubberbands from the desk to play with, they are very inventive and entertaining.
