Completely on a church by church basis but I live in NC and mine was close to $600 so no $800 isnt ridiculous. That usually includes the ministers fee, the organist, and use of any of their items (the christmas lamps, candelabras, whatever they have they have used for other weddings). I used the pew candles they use at christmas and also they included a wedding coordinator. She signed off for the floral delivery, took charge of the rehearsal.

However on here I have been quite impressed that many rural small churches are free. I've always lived in a city and have never heard of a free church but if you live out in the country, and are a member of the church--it may be free. Just go around to the local churches you are interested in and find out how expensive they are.

It all depends on where you live and the type of church it is. That $800 is a bit steep but maybe she had extra stuff added in her package deal.

I have never heard of that ! How can a church charge for its services? What kind of church is that?
