i have this following behaviors which makes me think i have NPD, i am trying to remove this behaviors (trying to help myself) especially the desire to be admired by others, envious, and extreme focus on myself...but it seems that they become natural with me that even though how hard i try to remove them, they keep on coming back on myself, do i have NPD?.

it sounds more like body dismorphic disorder to me, but i'm not exactly a professional. if you think you have a problem, go talk to a counselor and they can give you some help with that.

Usually you would be trying to cover up some secret flaw, too.

Or, you may be really good looking and everyone IS staring at you. You might have been told as a youngster that looks are important so that's what you know.

I think lots of people are envious of better looking people.

I don't know how old you are but personality can only be changed at 1% chance after 30. Npd people secretly hate themself and have grandiose fantasies. they feel very high like the center of the universe and better than others and can conquer the world. but they can also be very depressed and feel bad. they need lot's of narcissitic supply. check online for more details.

And one more note: npd people rarely admitt it.

I would say you have traits of the disorder but not specifically the disorder. Because you are asking others what they think and people with NPD don't ask people for help or their opinions.

Firstly, the names of 'diseases' are just convenient references to a list of symptoms. Don't worry about what you 'have.'

Secondly, you can't change yourself by just trying not to be a certain way. Here is a link to an article that describes a therapy that works.

Doesn't sound like NPD.
Narcissists are never wrong, never to be blamed for their actions.
All actions are the fault of another. "You made me beat you", "You made me cheat", etc.
AND they don't even know they are to blame or are ever wrong. No conception that they are a narcissist.
Was married to one.

Sounds to me more like insecurity.
