Off the top of my head, I can name two friends who are. I'm sure I know more, but I don't necessarily know the religious and political views of all my acquaintances.

I personally am a pro-life and an atheist. But I also think that in some cases abortion is the reasonable choice, if I were in any one of those positions, i don't know what i'd do.

Personally, I'm pro-choice, anti-abortion, anti-pro-life movement.
No one is 'for abortion' least of all those who are faced with having one. I have met a few atheists who are against abortion when there is no danger to the mother in going through with the pregnancy.
The argument usually comes from one of personal responsibility for actions. Of course as a society we don't believe in this when it comes to kids in general so it seems a little hypocritical if you don't apply it across the board.

I am, to a point.
1. It would not be my choice, it is the woman's choice.
2. There should be no restrictions during the first 5-6 months. No age or dependency restrictions.
3. Counseling at planned parenthood only.
4. Partial birth and anything after 6 months, only if the woman's health and/or life is at stake.
5. Protesters at abortion clinics should be arrested, tried, and if convicted, be forced to adopt one.
The bottom line is that it is the woman's choice, and that should not be interfered with.

If people would stop thinking of a fetus as an eight and a half month old, nortmal/healthy developed child, maybe they'd understand saying they're 'pro-life' really means they're 'anti-choice'. Pro-life is such s misnomer. Forcing a person to have a child, regardless of the circumstances, is anti-the only real life involved.

I'm a pro life atheist, although here is where I branch off from the Christians--I don't believe in abortion, but I absolutely will not tell anyone else what they can and can't do with their own body.

It is illogical to over-generalize about any group. There are many atheists with quite diverse opinions on other issues besides the one upon which thy agree by definition. I do not know any pro-life atheists, but I am sure some exist.

I (an atheist) do not support abortion after 22 weeks. This coincides with the beginning of the development of the neo-cortex.

I would say that abortion is bad because nobody asked the fetus.
Let me ask you in a retroactive sort of way, they are debating whether to abort you -- what is your vote on the question?
If you're a fetus "Pro-choice" means their choice, not yours.
And yes, there isn't any god, but so what? That's pretty much a non-issue except among the church folks -- who have special emotions. Anyway, if there were a god how would that change anything?

Well No. I have known Muslim Christian and Pagan. And JWs. But I have heard of lots of Nurses and medical people involved at some time (having seen the little body's afterwards) that are against it. They could be. I just haven't met one who says they are specifically Atheist.

I think there are atheists who hold the same beliefs about things like abortion or Gay rights,,,that I do....the thing that makes us different is I believe in God and they don't....there are members of my own family who think abortion is okay.
I don't know if you call them atheists or not though....just unbelievers....and to tell you the truth....I tend to think of people as believers or non believers....God doesn't make a distinction between agnostic, atheist, Muslim, Jew, etc........you are either a believer or a non believer in his eyes. Either you believe in Jesus as your Savior,,,,or you don't....So, in a way,,,all unbelievers are atheist.
