The fact that he raced EVERYBODY the same, and EVERYBODY knew what to expect from him, and they ALL hated to see that black #3 in their rearview mirrors!

R.I.P.

When he started driving, I stopped watching. It's called racing not bumper cars. So, when he stopped driving was what I liked the most about Dale Earnhardt Sr.

I enjoyed the way NASCAR ran races. I dont thing Sr would be nearly as good racing in todays races as he was.

The newer rules run away from the rough and intimidating style of races Sr was known for. Its actually kind of ironic that his death was a major contributor to NASCARs concerns with driver saftey.

He gave it 100%, I love his style back then, get out of my way, I'm gonna beat you..His style would never work today any longer, to many pretty boy types out there.. I just wish alittle of Sr could have rubbed off on Jr..I remember Sr driving in his early days the real bumping and banging hard core racing.. Yes he was the intemidator 100%... I sure miss you great one..R.I.P.

Sorry. I didn't like his aggressive driving. But you know, I wished he was still around now. Maybe NASCAR wouldn't be so screwed up.
I believe Dale Jr has his daddy's talent, and he's not aggressive. That's why I like him.

The fact that he could intimidate anyone and everyone out there on the track because he actually had the skill to back it up. You see a lot of drivers today who "intimidate" other drivers because they are loose cannons and out of control. They intimidate because there is a good chance that they will wreck a driver because they cross the line..

the way he drove...real guts....if the #48 would've been racing him years ago, that would've been a real sight (he would've never been able to handle the #3 in those days!) Boy, how the sport's changed. He was a true racer....today it's all about $$$, not talent.

When the #24 would knock him out of the way...won 4 championships while he was driving in that era...no intimidation there for Jeff....

I loved watching his 'middle finger' come flying out the window. Boy there was no doubt when somebody angered Sr. The guy was extremely aggressive but he sure was fun to watch.

my favorite moment involving dale was in the '99 season. everyone remembers how he blatantly took out terry labonte (my favorite driver) at bristol and said he just wanted to rattle his cage. well, not long after, jeremy mayfield wrecked earnhardt in a race and afterwards, mayfield looked at the camera with his smirk that he's so good at and said "i just wanted to rattle his cage." dale got what he deserved on that one.
