Yes, use a big wooden mallet, whack away for a few minutes and the hams should be nice and tender.

I'd ditch the mallet solution and suggest she cook it according to package directions. Many people think ham must be baked or cooked when all it really needs is to be heated. Ham is smoked pork hence smoked equals cooked.

Yes, at least a 15lb mallet. Give em a good couple of whacks until they are nice and tender....then apply the secret sauce.

You should never use a mallet on your wife's hams. Gentle stroking works much better.

no. that can flaten the ham;;
then the texture is weird.
try liquid tenderizers;; they
tend to keep the actual texture
the same while still making
it more tender

hope this helped!

WELL IT DEPENDS ON WHAT KIND OF HAM YOU HAVE BECAUSE YOU CAN USE MEAT TENDERIZER IF IT IS LIKE A SLICE OR SOMETHING BUT IT USUALLY IS TENDER AFTER COOKING UNLESS IT IS OVER COOKED!!!
