I would say mayo. both are great, but mayo can be altered in so many ways to change it's flavor. Almost anything can be added. Plus it's white so whatever you add to it, it will take on a different and sometimes pretty color. Mustard is good, but it will always taste like mustard. It's not as versatile. Robert

Mustard man...its made out of a plant. GO MUSTARD. But i got to give mayo props because it does make potato salad delicious/

I like them both but it really depends on what I'm eating. I don't want mayo on my hotdog, and I don't want mustard in my homemade bleu cheese dressing.

MAYO! I love mayo on my hamburgers, with french fries, on sandwiches like BLTs and with almost anything.

Mustard..dijon mustard. hands down. its really all you need for anything that reqiures a condiment.
