who should we vote for if we don't have health care and we work 40 plus hours a week....and our employer does not provide us with coverage?

Give me a reason why you think this person will make a difference?

zig....you are truly an ignorant person....3 times this year I needed medical assistance....1 for a very bad ankle sprain...lost a week of work with no sick pay....had to pay $200 in medical bills....2. got bronchitis from a little kid who was sick....lost a week of work (no pay) and had $80 medical bill.....Then got a cut on my foot that need stitches.....ended up taping it shut until it healed because I couldn't afford to go to the doctors....lost work for that too....

People get hurt and injured or catch viruses from other ppl and there are things that can not be prevented with just simple diet and excercise plans.... that is ignorant.

In answer to your question Clinton or Obama are your best bet.

In answer to other replies, have you ever lived in a country with a set national healthcare system? I lived in UK and France and now lm back in the USA, their HC is so much better than here, everyone gets it, it costs nomore than when I pay my insurance each month (just comes out as tax) and it didn't take months to get treated.

Some people will believe anything they are told. Also the word 'socialist' is never mentioned over there, I mean people in the US are so afraid of words the government\s use'

i'm vote casting for Obama and Biden. i think of they're a dynamic team. Obama has run an trouble-free, trouble-free campaign. he's clever, has an excellent financial plan, supplies superior wellness care, preparation and greater employment. much less taxes for the middle classification. He plans to end the conflict in Iraq and bring the troops homestead. McCain does not help the troops, has run a disgraceful, cheating and dishonorable campaign. He might run our government interior the same way. Palin is cheating and has tried to incite violence against Obama with hateful rhetoric. She keeps fanning the flames of racism in u.s. like no longer something I even have ever seen in my lifetime. Neither of them are qualified to run for canine catcher. Obama 2008 Biden

Where do you work that you dont get some type of health insurance from a 40 hr a week job?

I will vote for the person who promises that the governments role in providing health care will not increase and that promises to address tort reform so malpractice insurance wont be through the roof and that promises to encourage states to allow their citizens to buy insurance across state lines so they can buy cheaper policies that fit their needs and arent filled with ridiculous mandates.

Whoever is most supportive of prevention. Huckabee

I've found that when my employer provides health care, I spend 'way more on co-pay and am less healthy than when I have no health care at all.

IF you're counting on the government to GET YOU the health care you need, then you, ma'm, are an idiot!

Try getting off your ****, getting a job, and getting your own health care! WOW, what a concept???

Where, does it say the GOVERNMENT is the great provider???? You've been listening too much to the liberal left. Let me ask you this...WHY do Canadians come to America to have their babies? Hint: They could care a less about US Citizenship. Go do some homework!

I said this earlier, and I'll say it again...a once great Democrat said: Ask NOT what your country can do for you, but what YOU can do for your country. LOL...if he (JFK) were alive today, he'd be run out of town by Hillary & Co. screaming to him about how it takes a village.

LOL, Katrina "victims" are still awaiting for their government to help them out...LOL...and that's a SOLID socialist (Democratic) state. Yeah, like any politician can "get us" health insurance. You show me ONE politician whom can get us health care, and I'll show you a system that isn't worth having.

Best regards. Really.

I don't believe it will matter much. They will all make empty campaign promises, but very little may be accomplished. Yes, past experience has left me a bit cynical.

I nominate Jack LaLane for president!

To hell with someone else doing for you what you should be doing for yourself!
When the hell did we all become so sickly that we all are in need of medical assistance all the time.
We now live in a world full of hypochondriacs.
Just watch TV and they will let you know, or constantly remind you, about all the wonderful drugs they have to fix up all the problems that you/we suffer from. What is your particular ailment? Cholesterol to high? Do you suffer from depression? Headache, backache, allergies, sexual dysfunction, you name it someones got a cure for it.
I can't believe it, the addmen in this country can convince you of anything.
Now listen up. Lay off the booze and drugs. Go to work and do your best for 40 hours a week. Go out and play or exercise a little every day. Take a walk or ride a bike for 30 minutes. Eat less fried foods, more fish, nuts, fruits and vegetables. Get 8 hours of sleep each night. Control your libido so you don't contract or spread STDs.
You my inquisitive friend, like every other person who shares the similar concern, are the person who will have the greatest impact on the future of you psychical well being.
You want to piss them off, take care of yourself, really take care of yourself, and your body will take care of itself.
It is truly a work of art if you don't abuse it.
You don't need all of the high priced drugs that will shut down your naturaly recuperative powers making you dependent of outside help.
In a nutshell to sustaine a healthy life style free from all drug dependancy you must eat nurishing food, drink clean water, exercise daily, and get adiquate rest.
Do you need a particular poltician to motivate you to take care of yourself.
If you don't know who Jack LaLane is, look him up.

Whether we agree with the particular plan or not the Democrats are the only ones who actually HAVE a plan. I have yet to hear anything from the Republicans.

Where is it written that the President is responsible for giving you healthcare. Do you remember a few years ago when Sen Clinton tried to get flu vaccines for all kids. Remember what happened - there was a huge shortage of flu shots. An example of why govt should not and cannot provide healthcare! Gove healthcare will cost you dearly - and I mean both monetarily and physically.

I think Edwards will.

You could go to his website and find his policy statement on health care.

I think he really means it.
