Most likely it will be ok. If it was in a real freezer rather than the freezer compartment of a refrigerator, it is more likely that it is ok.
Smell it, and that will give you a good idea. Salmon is an oily fish, and if it was not properly wrapped and frozen you will be able to tell when you smell it. You should be able to tell if it has started to get rancid or has developed freezer burn.
When you freeze fish, it is a good idea to freeze it in water. Put it in a good Ziploc bag and fill the bag with water and freeze it. Keeps it fresh much longer.

If you have had it in a bag that is freeze resistant or if it's in a box that came from the store you should be just fine. If it's been frozen the fish wouldn't have "gone bad" but it, like all things, has the potential for freezer burn. Freezer burn to me has a certain smell to it as I open the package.
I'd say make it!

Good for up to 6 months. Just use a vacuum sealer bag system to get the most time you can out of your frozen fish. I always buy Grouper & Halibut in season, and freeze it for the off season. Comes out just fine. You get the best results if you cook it from frozen without thawing first. Just double the cooking time.

We live on the bay... and are also near a large lake, so we often have fish. I keep it tightly wrapped in the freezer for 3-4 months and it's perfectly good.

I dont think it should be a problem, I am quite sure that with salmon you can freeze it for up to 4 months.

Just fine. I assume you had it nicely wrapped to avoid freezer burns. In case you have some freezer burns, just cut them away and cook your fish.

I caught about 200 pounds after it was felaid (sorry about the spelling). I vacuum sealed it and it's great for about a year. After that is can be a little nasty but is still edible.
