I have a 2000 Dodge Grand Caravan Sport AWD with an Infinity sound system. The front speakers have stopped working. When you put the fader to the front, all you hear is crackling out of them. Does this mean they are blown, or is it a short at the radio itself? How should I figure out what is wrong? Should I start by pulling the radio out and reattaching all the wires to see if I can get them to work, or is there another way to figure out if the speakers are blown?

I'd say they were blown.

Or open the side panels where your front speakers are, remove the wiring and connect it to a speaker available. If not a sound was produced this would mean its not the stock speaker installed has a problem but the line from your radio to your speaker.

If you can get at the speakers themselves, have a look at them to see if there's any visible damage. If not, disconnect the wire from one side and use a multimeter tester to see if the voice coil is still intact. If it is, then the problem lies with your amplifier.
