I have lived in and visited Korea several times before. It is a wonderful country if some people learn to open (or lighten) up a little and discover its hidden beauty. ^^ I'm an American of Korean descent.

Yes! I really enjoy Korea ~ Going again in December. There are many things to do, and its easy and very inexpensive to travel around the country. For your first trip, try and go to Gyeongju...amazing history there. I have had excellent experiences always in Korea! Cheers ~ M.

Yes, several times. At first, visits were work-related, but now I try to go for leisure as well. It is a bit expensive for Americans but, like many places, you can find some extraordinary values if you try to follow the practices of the locals. Biggest keys to enjoying and understanding are to make some Korean friends, and try to learn some of the language. It is an extraordinary place, full of pleasant surprises!

I'm a foreigner living in Korea and teaching at a university.

Like any country it has its strengths and weaknesses, but overall I'm very happy living here.
