What is it called? it's like daycare only for old people. I need it for my project, i'm saying it's a bad thing. They should live with their families.

Well, in a way you are right, if they are not abused by the families. Eldercare Law is very clear here. Research that.
Elder Daycare is only that, for the day, while the caregiver gets a break to do shopping, errands etc. Retirement communities are for that Retirement, not medical situations. Example: Your grandparents sell all their worthy belongings and move into a Retirement Home Facility with only minimum items to live out their lives without having to worry about painting the house, mowing the grass, etc. Enjoy the years together. Nursing Care Facilities are for Elders that can no longer care for themselves properly, or for a short term situation to heal from an ailment. Nursing is available to them and so are their Doctors. Board and Care Facilities are also, for the Elders healing with an ailment but, nearer the healed point of the scale. Almost, but not quite. Caring for an Elderly Family member is costly, time consuming, frustrating, and gives the caregiver no time for themselves and often their familys suffer, creating guilty feelings and attitudes. There are different levels.There is the retirement homes,assisted living care,and adult day care.It depends on the needs of the person and the ability for the family to be there for them.

"daycare" for elderly is called "eldercare" - absolutely essential to give caregivers a break.
