I have always said that the human mind (or brain) is not like a computer at all. Instead, it is more like a radio receiver. That is, it picks up ideas and thoughts from whatever "station" it is tuned toward. That means that an unknown "something" out in space is always broadcasting. Bad thoughts come from evil broadcasters; while good and productive come from the good, or God Himself. Do you agree?

No.

Between split-brain studies, stroke studies, and partial brain anasthesia studies, there is no function of the mind which has not been shown to be directly tied to the functioning of the physical brain.

There is no nontangible involved in the mind or consciousness.

Nope I don't agree. The left side of the brain seems to be very close to a computer, very logical. The right side seems to be trained some by the left and makes decisions by preset values, neural networks. I will agree that what your senses pickup are filtered (tuned) by a preconceived value system in each person. God is not just a random transmitter, but will communicate in different ways with persons who seek Him. Nothing wrong with thinking outside the box though.

I have not seen any accepted research that would support the "radio receiver" hypothesis. The human mind is something like a computer but much more complex and probably not based on a binary system.

No not in the slightest.

Brains re-wire themselves sometimes [Best viewed in people who lose a function- they can compensate eventually]. Brains work on an electrical and chemical level as well.

Your little idea makes absolutely no sense.

No. The brain does recieve transmissions (from cosmic sources as well as from pysical stimuli), but it has the power to process them and decide to reject or act on them. More like a wi-fi enabled laptop if you ask me.

nope, sorry...

the problem is that if you put people in solitary confinement, they will typically go insane, so your "cosmic radio station" equates to ones own thoughts, and no stimuli at all...

I would have to dissagree. Thoughts come from inside your brain.

I don't agree.
I beleive thoughts come from inside, not outside.
