I am into the hippy scene and i am thinking about putting dreds in my hair after i graduate and go to college (i'm a senior)... opinions from the boys please>?

Dreds are different than long corn-rows.
They're filty, because you can't wash them. If you're into the Whoopi Goldberg -look then go for it. I'm not into it, especially for young women. And there's really nothing "hippie" about dreds. Long, natural FOR YOU hair... is more hippie.

I dated Hippies, and they all had long, straight hair, Levi bell-bottoms and tight, long-sleeved tops. Dreds? Never, they're a recent invention of about 1980 or so.

If you're considering putting your hair in dreads because you think boys will be more attracted to you, then you don't get what being into the "hippy scene" is about at all. You're a disgrace, and you should be ashamed of yourself.

I know I'm not a boyface, so ignore this if you see prudent.
I know a good few people with dreads, both guys and girls and many 'clean' less hippish people aren't fond of them (which is fair enough, I'm not saying these people are bad). But a lot of people love them, specially to play with, and they attract a certain type of fellow. If you want them, get em! My friend puts all sorts of beads and felts and dyes in hers, they look jazzfunky.

Mmmmmm, i'd ought to assert yay and nay. some adult adult males seem good with them, yet i in my opinion do not prefer to the touch them. i replaced into advised dreds are fairly ineffective hair and you could't comb them out, they ought to be cut back out. Yikes.

I don't see whats cool about having hair so dirty its matted into clumps like a stray dog's.
I think on guys and girls, it is so effing disgusting - it DIRTY HAIR! yeah, how sexy is that? Oooh, let me run my fingers through your matted greasy hair. Ugh...
