are the small guinea pig cages good for anything? I have a guinea pig in mine and I know the cage is WAY too small, so I was just wondering if it was actually good for something.

If you connect it to a homemade c&c cage (http://www.guineapigcages.com/cubes.htm), then it can be the litter box where you keep the shavings or bedding and the rest of the cage could be softly lined with fleece or something.

well, you can get a bigger cage at www.guineapigcages.com and then you can put it in the bigger cage and use it as a club house. You can use the bottom of it to hold items. you can use the cage part and use that as a hay rack. you can also use the cage part to hold wood for a fire place. Make it into a box, and fill her up.
Is that was you mean.
If not add more info.

Our cage is a marchioro, MUCH bigger than standard cages. I look at some of the ones in the stores, especially the "starter kits" and they're so pitifully small. It's like you and me being trapped in a cage the size of our couch all day, every day.

You can attach it to the new, larger cage as a small hide away or a second level. It also is useful as a quarantine cage for keeping new piggies in, or a cage for piggies to stay in when they are sick. Also, it can be used as a traveling cage for taking your piggies to the vet. They can be quite handy to have around!
