EWWWWWWWWW And you didn't go to the vet for this? Rotting fish is never ever a good smell, no matter where you smell it.

It's probably the anal glands, they need to be expressed.

I have to english springer spaniels and both have had there moments of smelling like fish.
My male spaniel actually enjoys rolling about near the fish and chip shop which makes him smell of fish. However recently I think there is some plant that smell of this 'fish' as both my dogs smell of it. Then other times its his food that makes him smell. I was really annoyed he smelt bad but when i went to the vets he squeezed his anal sacks and beleive me the smell of fish was 10 times worse at the moment the vet unclogged them! phewww
Its probably the anal sacs some dogs fill up faster and more oftern then others if so the vet can train you to do it yourself! (eww) The main symtom is the scooting across the floor (basically scratching their bottom!

Last time I had this problem with my dog it was because of his anal gland. He was having a bit of a diarrhea so his gland would not drain itself properly. Another sign is once in a while he would also drag his butt on the ground. That same week I had an appointment at the vet and she took care of his gland and his bad smell went away.

It could always be an ear infection. They always smell terrible. If you see her shaking her head alot or scratching her ears alot, then she has an ear infection. Or if she is outside alot she could be getting into some trash from the neighbors. She would probably watch her.

Her anal glands probably need to be expressed. This normally happens whenever they poop, but sometimes they need help. Have a groomer show you how - or google. It's not a pleasant thing to do, but it will take care of that nasty smell!
