Here are the facts: Jesus wasn't born on Dec. 25. Christ's apostles rejected pagan ceremonies and rituals in their worship and told other Christians to likewise avoid them. The early Church didn't observe Jesus' birthday. The selection of Dec. 25 as Christ's supposed date of birth was based on the dates of the Roman Saturnalia and Brumalia—a time for worshiping the god Saturn.

Honest scholars admit that the customs of Christmas and a Dec. 25 celebration long predate the birth of Christ.

Luke's Gospel, describing Christ's birth, tells us: "So it was, that while they were there, the days were completed for her to be delivered. And she brought forth her firstborn Son, and wrapped Him in swaddling cloths, and laid Him in a manger, because there was no room for them in the inn. Now there were in the same country shepherds living out in the fields, keeping watch over their flock by night" (Luke 2:6-8, emphasis added throughout).

We see that when Jesus was born shepherds were spending the night with their flocks in open fields. In that region, from December to February, though the heat of the day might feel comfortable enough when the human body is covered, the cold of the night was piercing. Thus the shepherds never kept their flocks and herds out in the open country from December through February—it was simply too cold (Alexander Hislop, The Two Babylons, 1959, p. 2). This in itself tells us that Jesus could not have been born anywhere near Dec. 25.

Do you think Christ would want them ?
Would he appreciate gifts for a pagan holiday?
Did not Jesus himself say better is the day of ones death than ones birth ?
Do you think people even think about Jesus on his so called birthday Or do they think about Santa ?
Is it not the only gift we can give Christ is to gain knowledge and obey any (and every)day of the year ?

Try this for an experiment
On Xmas day talk to someone about why Xmas is wrong .You will most likely get the answer ,today is a holiday I don't want to talk about religion
And Christmas is supposed to be a religious day

Apart from the bibles view on celebrations like Xmas don't you think it is to commercialized?

Have not looked it up for some time but, gift giving is a part of the Roman Saturnalia or Druid celebrations. Can't remember which.

Anyway the wise men were not a part of it. They were astrologers as they consulted the stars to find the star leading them to Herod so he could try to kill Jesus as a child.

nicely enable us to be sure, If I undergo in innovations authentic Jesus grew to become into 33 and a a million/2 while he grew to become into killed. If one does the mathematics in this then we can locate out and spot that December the twenty 5th isn't his birthday, in actuality he grew to become into born it sluggish between October and mid September if my reminiscence is right. So in answer on your question, he would be getting not something because it is not his Birthday and subsequently we actually do not understand if he celebrated it the two.

Some people need a reason to celebrate I guess.
I've never been able to figure that one out, even as a child, I asked and got slapped for it.

Since Jesus was against materialism, the whole concept is Anti-Christ.

For Christians, to celebrate giving to others is natural and not just a seasonal pastime. We are taught to treat others like brothers, and to honor their worth and importance as fellow creations of God. The joy of giving does not end at Christmas.
