A builder came round a couple of weeks ago to quote for our new kitchen extension, he has now sent the quote which we are happy with and is coming round tonight to have a chat about the next stage. What do we need to ask him?

Has he got his own insurance.
Start & Finish dates.
Is he doing other jobs at the same time (he may start yours to get the job and then disappear).
Did his 'quote' cover everything, from skips, to clearing up, plumbing, electrics, flooring etc. Get him to list it all, so you know. We had different quotes and they all listed different things!
Do they need to come in to use your wc.
Do you supply them with cups of tea.
Time in the morning they will start.
