And . . . . so what if it isn't original, what matters is if it is truth. And Europe is leaving it's Christianity behind anyways, for example look at the religious persecution that is written into law in France. Muslims have been told they are not allowed to wear any religious paraphenilia at public schools. They can be kicked out for it.

wrong. Christianity is only in existence today because it was legalized by constantine of rome, so it is indeed a european religion. If constantine had chosen one of the other religions that were swirling around at the time, christianity will have been so obsolete you wouldn't even know it ever existed. Just like you do not know any of the other ones. But back to your question, which religion are you talking about? You do realize that there were several european religions in ancient europe

Europe has many old religions. Most of which were far less agresive than christianity.

A polish priest of the 4th century, wrote that after the wolf has twice attempted to rule Europe, the people will turn back to the old religions of their ancestors.

He could well be right. Church going is dropping at a rate. New age movements are arising, along with druids, and rainbow people.

Yes but it is the main religion now and has been for about 1500 years so a change will be difficult, unpopular and pointless.

t90fan: You must have little confidence in humanity if you think Christianity is the only think stopping people of raping and killing each other.
t90fan:So did Christians as well as other bad things like hung, drawing and quartering (Americans who have seen brave heart: it is not only the English). Russia, a christian country, did many horrible things to their prisoners.

Some questions:

1) Which ancient religion?

2) What do you have against foreign ideas?

3) Why have any religion?

which native religion? norse? greek? roman? or the charuns-worship of the etruscans?

most pre-christian religious cults in europe are now so thoroughly lost that even what little we know of them makes no sense. (the wicker man story from julius caesar for example).

and in any case most europeans these days are de facto atheists.

why would we want a bad religion when we can have no religion at all?

Hello Fandu F.

Before all, I need to apologize my non grammatical English. I am Spanish-native.

I think no. "Ancient" means politeists greeks and romans in addition of vikings plus the multi-celtians.

Christianity will continue as the strong religious root. Many people, because massive information ways, knows about other philosophical and religious tendences. You are free to choice it or not. If you choice one of them, you will be not more a christian, but a new-pagan or new age people.

Regards!

I did not have to wait for europe to revert back to the ancient faiths. I have been apart of the old faith from day one. You can keep religions like christianity and islam. They are both soul destroying.

Some of us have already done just that mate :)

Do I think everybody should.. Well that assumes that I think that one religion is going to be right for everybody which I don't. Nor do I think that because I have found the Gods and Goddesses of my ancestors that everybody must..

So my answer to the question is: Fine if you get spiritual fulfillment from it , otherwise why bother?
