From experience, I usually rest after eating a meal for an hour, then I take an hour long brisk walk, to burn off the calories I just consumed. A short snooze is fine.

sleeping after you eat is not really a good sign of being healthy...
another is, that when you eat, you chew your food very well because the reason why you get sleepy is because the food you chewed wasn't well-digested in the oral cavities, so the stomach has to do a very exhausting job of digesting it further to the size acceptable by the intestines... while it further grinds down your food, it consumes a lot of your energy making you feel sleepy...

i don't think that's right....after meals either light or heavy you should stand up for a minute, never take a nap immediately that is one cause of heart attack.
