The ship that we are going on is called Costa Romantica. The ships cabin occupancy is four people. The person that is in charge of this cruise plan told me that: The first 2 people have to pay $609 and the last two pay less. How are we supposed to work this out?

I suggest that if you and 3 other people (total of 4) are cruising in the same cabin you find the total price of the cruise and divide it by 4 so you all pay the same.

Once you book the cruise the cruise line is going to give you a total for all 4 people, not a total per person. So if the total is $1800, that's what you will all own the cruise line.

I have been on 5 cruises on 3 different cruise ships. The price is per person, regardless of how many are sleeping in a room. The price includes all of your food and entertainment. Sleeping arrangements are definitely not where the majority of your money goes. So, I apologize, but unfortunately, if you are going with friends, it will cost each of you $749 prior to taxes for the cruise fare. Of this I am 100% positive. But, take note that your drinks are not paid for and they are not cheap. I recently took a cruise to the Mexican Riviera and paid $549 for the cruise. After drinks, excursions, and off-boat shopping, we ended up spending close to $5K between two people. Cruises don't make their money on the initial fare. On a side note: Back in the day, I also went on a cruise with 4 friends following my high school graduation and it was awesome. If you are able to sneak some booze on board in your luggage, you can purchase an "all-you-can-drink" soda cup for $15 and keep a nice mix with you at all times without having to pay for alcohol.

Figure out the total cost of the cabin. Lets say the first two are $609 each and the last two are $303 each. Then the total is $1824 ($609 + $609 + $303 + $303). Divide the total by four. Then each of you pays an equal amount. In this example each person would pay $456 ($456 * 4 = $1824).

your FRIEND should take the total for the cabin and divide it by 4. the 3/4 guest pay a lower fare but if you are splitting the cabin and want to keep being friends then divide by 4.

Add up the total cost of the cruise, and then split it 4 ways. You all should pay the exact same fare.
