saturday night at 2 am, my friends and i got pulled over. they were both drunk and i wasn't cause i was driving. i only drank 1.5 bears and about 3/4 of a shot of vodka at around 8 early that night.(6 hrs before we got pulled over) we got off the hook with the cop, but would i have blown anything on the breathalizer? im 6 ft 2in and about 175 lbs if that mattters. if i didnt blow anything, would i have still got in trouble for just driving two drunk 17 years olds. im 16

You probably would not have blown anything because you only had about 3 oz of actual alcohol (12 oz beer = 1 oz alcohol, 1 & 1/2 oz shot = 1 oz alcohol) and the liver takes an hour to process one ounce of alcohol, so it would only take three hours to process and you'd probably be clear. Didn't they teach you this in driver's ed? You would not have gotten in trouble for driving around with drunk people in your car, that's not a crime. THEY might have gotten in trouble for being drunk, but it's unlikely unless you live in a small hick town or something. It also depends on what state you live in. Here in Florida, a minor can have up to .02 BAC because of cough medicine, mouthwash, etc.

you probably would have blown something, nothing close to the legal limit, but something...and as far as driving 2 17 year old drunks around, that could have gotten you into a world of trouble, the charges could range from, misconduct with a minor, to contributing to a minor, both misdemeanors, but still look really bad in the newspaper...be a little more careful

A lot of states have a no tolerance law for minors. That means if the legal limit is .08 and you blow a .02, they consider you drinking and driving. Yes, you were very lucky. Have fun, just be more careful next time. Just one question: did the 1.5 bears try to maul you for drinking them? 'Cause I would think they wouldn't be very happy about that.

If you blew anything, you would be in all sorts of trouble for underage drinking and driving. You would have lost your license. I am surprised the cop didn't do anything to your drunk friends. They could have gotten underage drinking tickets.

Yes. You are underage. In many states, the BAC for underage people is 0.0. The fact that you consumed any alcohol could get you in trouble. Additionally, your friends could have received tickets for DIP.

well, since you are 16 that means you are underaged, and shouldn't have been drinking at all, and yes you would get in trouble for driving them
