I'm 5'10, 120 lbs. I can drink 3 shooters of vodka in 45 minutes and not feel a thing. Could I take 11 'shooterdrinks' in 4 hours and not get drunk? Which means approx. 1 shooter every 20 minutes or would the amount of alcohol stack up and cause drunkeness? I need to drink that amount if I want to have a free jacket before the promotion ends, but I don't want to be plastered! Any advice on how to drink without getting too drunk? (I have to walk home alone)

First, Don't leave the club alone, your 5'10, 120lbs, why would you be leaving the bar alone???

Second, I think if you drank 11 shooters in 4 hours you would be very drunk. If you drank those 3 shooters in 45 minutes and continued that trend the next 45 minutes and so on you would be plastered after 4 hours.

Thirdly, this is good for you becuase you can get that jacket you always wanted.

I say, drink until you can't, the alcohol feeling will go away but that jacket will last.... at least until spring. ;)

Well isn't that nice, just 21. I immediately knew what to say when I saw your question. Having drunk many different drinks several times thruout my life (never a drunk) I can say that; If you are "big-boned" as you say, 1-2 drinks won't faze you, except maybe the first time. Your best bet is mixed drinks, not beer or wine (There are so many different types of beer or wine that you'll need to find out what is best for your taste). Ask your friendly neighborhood bartender based on your taste ( sweet, bitter, etc.) You might like a flavored martini; light, tasty, not strong, margaritas could give you brain freeze if you drink it too fast, pina coladas are fine too. These are all sweet drinks. For not too sweet but potent try a Long Island iced-tea. Tastes just like ice tea but it sure ain't, just do one of those, trust me. Then there are lots of cranberry and orange juice drinks; seabreeze, screwdriver, among others. Now, tequila. Where do I start... Also known as to-kill-ya among fans. One shot will leave you fuzzy in the brain, 2 -3 and you better have given your keys to the dd (designated). Now rum is another story - if you want a shot of rum go for the gold reserves, or even a nice Bermuda dark rum- very tasty! Just remember - drink in moderation. Then you'll never go wrong. Enjoy.

People who are not allergic to alcohol create an enzyme which breaks alcohol down into water, carbon dioxide, and sugar. It takes 1 hour to process 1 oz. of alcohol for them. People who are allergic (alcoholics), either don't create enough, or don't create any of that enzyme. It's unknown how long it takes to process for them, but the acid that doesn't breakdown sets off a craving, this makes a person feel like they need more alcohol. Only you know about you!

You can drink up to 4 beers in 4 hours without any problem. I tested it a lot of times! Or you can drink up to two shoots of vodka but I don´t recommend more.

if you are going to do it make sure to have a full stomache when you go. Generally speaking your liver can process 1 shot per hour. I'd say 11 is a bit but I'd have more faith in myself being able to do it and walk away then I would you. I sure wish you luck though!!

with your body weight, you will probably pass out...but you can do a few things to slow down the process...eat as much bread and crackers as you can stand before the contest, they absorb the alcohol...and don't hold the liquor in your mouth, swallow quickly, the taste sends a signal to your brain that triggers memories of previous drinking experiences, which in turn will make you "feel" drunker quicker...Good Luck
