My husband comes home on leave on the 20th until the 4th of Dec. Hopefully he will be here for the birth of our second child. I am due on the 5th. But my doctor is willing to induce me early if I don't go into labor on my own. He is a Marine.

Been there, got home safe and sound. Not looking foreward to going back either. To those who are waiting, I hope the best for you and yours. It really sucks and we really need somone at home waiting for us with open arms and lots of love! For those expecting children and daddy or mommy is away, hang in there. That is the most exciting experiance. Even if missed, to know that there is a new addition to the family when coming home is the greatest! Take care everyone! Best wishes for everyone stuck in the hell called Iraq. Love your soldier/marine/airforce/navy or which ever branch he/she may be with. They need it!

my foster son just came home last month. he's stationed in Watertown, NY right now (up state) and my youngest son just went to visit him for the weekend.
he's got a 4 day leave for Thanksgiving and then he'll be home for 2 wks over Christmas... i am so very, very thankful.

Not in my family, but I know there are so many wonderful families who have loved ones in harm's way. As a veteran, I know their anguish, and I pray that the war will end, and peace will prevail throughout the region.

they ALL would be home for Thanksgiving if Billy was in charge dear lady, I would order every airline to fly over there and pick up every American soldier, leave the lousy gear behind, we tax payers already paid for it all just leave the junk there and come home, NOW!
