Jenae,
I am. I am just seeing some people who call themselves Christian don't seem to know what the Gospel is, or are shy about proclaiming that :

Jesus Christ came and died for the sins of the world, and whoever believes in him and that he was raised from the dead shall have eternal life.

They avoid saying things of that message. I thought they were Christians!

What will I do with YA points? Do I get a prize? Is there a real incentive? Seriously, I am like 800 points, which is like a drop of water in the ocean on here. So many people have thousands of points, how could I possibly compare.?

I am here to learn believe it or not. I have found some interesting, thought provoking answers and questions on here. If I can answer any legitimate questions and maybe help someone along the way, that is a bonus!

ps. I don't understand your last comment.
Your question requires just a simple answer, points or preach.

you will probably blast me for my heretic like opinion again, but since this is an opinion forum I guess i can give it. I am not here to preach anything. Since you can't really use the points for anything, I guess I am not here for that either.

I try to ask an answer questions with honesty, and sometimes throw in a little joke on the side. Most people don't mind. I do not feel it is my job to recruit or preach to anyone about a religion. I believe spirituality to be a personal experience and a personal choice. If someone wants to find out about another religion, then they just do. The information is out there. If someone was to ask me about my religion, I would tell them what I believe, and then tell them to go find out more information on there own. But then again that is just my heretic opinion.

Please feel free to give all my points to someone else.
If anyone finds fellowship with what I have written, then give all the praise, honor and glory to CHRIST. Also, I am not here to win souls to CHRIST, that is the operation of the Holy Ghost.
CHRIST "DID NOT" die on the cross for all humans upon this earth. If He did, then why are there some lost to the devil and everlasting punishment? If He died for everyone, but some are eternally lost, then that is to profess that He is not all-powerful. CHRIST died for those He chose, and He did not and will not lose a one.
For those who believe CHRIST died for every human, then point me to the specific passage in the KJV that supports such false contention.

I have learned a lot from other brothers and sisters in the Lord on the board. I have equally learned from others that there is alot of pain, confusion, hatred, peace, knowledge, and much more.

Personally, I attempt to adhere to what Jesus said that He only spoke as the Father spoke. I see alot of SCREAMING by those that confess their faith in Jesus at nonbelievers. Speaking from the flesh only begets flesh. Speaking from the spirit begets spirit.

I think the best witness a christian can have is to be a living epistle b/c this may be the only Bible they see. Many have been won to Christ by observing the daily walk of of a christian. There are also many lost from Christ b/c of witnessing a christian's life. That translate to being observant as to how we answer questions or ask questions on Yahoo Answers.

This question poses a false dichotomy. Aren't there some other possibilities? Learning and correcting false claims are two.

Today I learned from an answer by Spiritroaming two principles for determining when Jesus was speaking literally. When Jesus was not speaking literally and someone took him literally, Jesus corrected the person (e.g., Nicodemus in John 3). When Jesus was speaking literally and people would not accept his teaching, he repeated it over and over in various ways (e.g., that he is literally the Bread of Life).

Many of my posts deal with false claims, e.g., that praying before religious statuary such as a crucifix is idolatry. A well sculpted crucifix reminds me of the terrible suffering Christ endured for our salvation and invites me to thank him for his suffering on my behalf. Those who equate such prayer with, say, a Rabelaisian orgy in worship of a golden calf have understood nothing about God's commandment against idolatry.

Cheers,
Bruce

I am here not for the points, but to learn from other Christians. It is often hard to filter through the answers, but the truth does come through. Also the differing opinions give me a broader perspective. I am a lover of knowledge and learning. Especially regarding the teachings of Jesus. Love it. Love Him!

Well, I do like the points. But actually I'm more into questions and answers from other Christians than the debating with other religions. It's good to have a place to question and think out what you really believe or know.

You make a good point. Not all are ready to talk about it. For me, I could take my evangelism up a notch. And if it weren't for your question I probably wouldn't have thought much about it. Although I could be justifying it because I like to evangelize in person than over the Internet, but that is no excuse. There are lost souls all over the world and I can only talk to so many. Thanks for the correction. God Bless!

I'm here because "here" is just as good a place as anywhere else.

I put my faith and trust in the love and mercy of the one true God. I believe in the covenant of the New Testament for forgiveness of sin and salvation of the eternal soul thru His Son, Jesus.

It really IS that simple.
