Jury Duty Call?

Question

My son was notified that he is to be on call for Jury Duty for the next two months. How many of you have been on call, but never got called?

Me, several times. But I live in a small community. A lot of trials get cancelled due to plea-bargaining.

I served on Jury Duty. Never was called. Just got a letter,
saying to show up. Naturally they interviewed the Jurist,
some not selected, but had to go back to the room, where
others waited.

Jury duty is selected on random and there might be a chance that even when called for duty, you might not be picked for the jury.

I've been on call 5 times. Twice I actually had to show. Of the first one, during lunch break both parties came to an agreement. The second one followed through, but I was not selected for a jurist interview.

Hmmmmm i feel a cat would do a good job of it,at least they would be honest about it, cats are all for justice! but honestly a cat now that is amusing,imagine if the owners just turned up with the cat what an embarrassment for the court, my cat i feel would master the jury down to purrrrrrrfection and be a whisker above the rest! paw prints anyone?

I've been on call twice, never got called. But I was asked to call the court every morning to check the status for like 2 weeks. Seems like this operates differently.

I just served in September. It just depends on the case and what they are looking for in a juror. I have NOT been called 2 of 3 times.

2 months? dang! are you sure its not Grand Jury Duty?

3 times I was called and not once did I have to go.
