I did it about 7 times, like once or twice a week , it is something I truly regret doing and I'm wondering if I damaged my brain in any long term way, how long will it take to get back to "normal" I know that you might damage your brain for abusing marijuana for a prolong period of time, but as far as I'm concern I didn't abuse it (although I did think I did consumed a bit too much one time) any help will be HIGHLY appreciated!

I don't really know what I was thinking at the time I did it, I guess I was like "heh just once or twice won't hurt me" until I started doing research on the web that It can really affect the brain, and then I got really scared and concerned then I stopped cold turkey after only 7 uses like I mentioned above, now I'm concerned if my stupid mistake I did will have any long term effects on my beautiful brain =p thanks for all who responded =)

Don't worry about it. 7 times is not going to do hardly anything to your brain, I'm almost postive about that. Don't fret about it anymore and don't do it again. You will be perfectly fine. :)

I don't think 7 times is enough to damage your brain--but, it is a good thing that you got scared enough to stop.
In my opinion, smoking pot is worse for the lungs. In cigarettes that put a filter on to block out impurities, in pot you are inhaling the pot along with the other junk directly into your lungs.
So often we smoke pot because of peer pressure. If you are at a party and people are pressuring you into smoking--think about how you will handle it. Can you just say, no thanks?
I was one of those 70's hippies who smoked a lot. I haven't toched the stuff since the 80's. Every once in a while I go to a party and someone shoves a joint in my face---I tell them I have asthma (which I do) and that seems to do the trick.
Try not to worry too much.

I've been a marijuana smoker for 9 years, smoking at least once a day on average; I am able to function without problem. To attest to that statement I can say that I have been a successful IT consultant for half as long.
I do not believe your usage will leave you with any long lasting (ill) effects.

My friend smokes marijuana because of the cancer treatments she receive and if it was that dangerous, they wouldn't have given her a prescription.
I'm sure the prolong period is talking about every day, morning till night and year after year. Unless it was more than marijuana!

Nope dude your a goner, your brain will never be the same.
I am afraid you are doomed. Ok, honestly you will be fine. No long term damage. If there was any damage you won't remember it anyway.

There is no real support for any connection between brain damage and light Marijuana use.

I know people who have smoked pot for years and they hold top jobs. Your brain is fine.If pot was that bad for you it wouldn`t be decriminalized the way it is in so many parts of the world.Just don`t get high when you know you`ll have to use your brain soon afterwards.
