i am 14 and i am trying to grow my hair and my parents are divorced i see my dad every wednesday and every other weekend my mom and her family are cool with it and my dad hates the idea he says i have 2 sons not a daughter and a son my older brother is 16 and everyone loves him and he has a clean hair cut my brother backs me up on this i grew my hair a year ago and my dad used to tease me but i just ignored it how can i convince him he is a strong christian man every time my brother goes to the barber he say ur up next but i say i dont want a hair cut he gives me a bunch of crap and we go home how can i CONVNICE him

Dads love when their kids use punctuation. Try that.
You may just have to talk to your dad, and tell him that you really want longer hair, and ask him to stop giving you grief about it. Try it - you might be surprised.

He's the only dad you have. Cherish the relationship. If the long hair is that much of a drag on your relationship with him, think about cutting it for that reason. Believe me, in 20 years it won't matter, and in four you can pretty much do what you want with your hair.
Or...ask him if the length of your hair changes who you are and if hair length really makes him dislike you. He's your dad; he's supposed to love you whether you have a buzz-cut or hair down to your ankles.

You just need to talk with him and tell him, this is what you want and ask him to please try and accept it. If he doesnt, your just going to have to live with the crap he gives you, which I am sure is not easy.. Only advice I have.. communication..Good luck

you are a preteen of 14 years old your father is the boss if he is who you reside with.you arent old enough to buy eggs on halloween so respect your dads decisions.
