I am thinking, specifically, of Digital Photo Frames I would like to give to my family for Christmas Presents.

I would like to take advantage of the great exchange rate without actually having to travel to the states!

Any suggestions?

Yup, you need to be aware that anything you buy from outside the E.U. with a value over £18 (shipping charges included) is liable for import duty, VAT and brokerage charges.

They can easily add 30% to the cost of the item...

That would be very difficult i spent 3 weeks searching for a laptop and a tv to be shipped from america to uk, no one wanted to sell me stuff and ship it over and when i found a site that sold me an item did not deliver, I ended up using this website http://www.iwanashop.com its a uk site very resonable. I know the owner search the site tell me what you like and maybe i can get something discounted for you MAYBE.

Its not the exchange rate I would be concerned with, the customs fees and shipping will easily make up for it.
