I recently purchased a Gameness gi. I'm 6'0 215lbs and got the A4 size. It fits great except the sleeves are way too long. They go past my outstretched fingers. Should I return it for a smaller size, get a different brand, or take it to a alteration place and get the sleeves taken in?

I'm really small, so I usually have to get my gis altered. It's hard to find one that fits you perfectly, since people come in so many different sizes =) You would have a tough time finding one that fits you perfectly in all aspects, so getting it altered will ensure the best fit.

Why not just roll the sleeves up. You can either roll them up on the outside or turn the arms inside out before you put it on, roll them up, turn the sleeves back out and then put it on. Most gis come with long sleeves and that's you do or you have them altered and sleeves shortened so that it hangs midway to your forearm and there is no excess material there for your opponent to grab and hold onto then.

Roll up the sleeves.

I would take it to alteration. until then if its okay just roll it up for now. If its not a major problem keep them rolled up all the time and forget about it. (only if that's okay)

just cut the sleeves to fit and hem it.
or even easier, use hemming tape.
