God created us with free will. We decide our actiions. This is why when the church tells you that God will protect you from evil, it is a completel load of B.S.
Horrible things have happened, and will continue to happen even to the faithful. I think this is biggest reason why people loose their faith. They didn't understand religion to begin with, just a false hope the church provided that god is a vending machine. Insert prayer, and donation here, and recieve a guardian angel to protect.

It is God's plan that we should all come to know and love him. We are all born of sin nature because of the original fall from grace. However, even the worse of us can come to know God and to do his work. Look at Paul. He was a big-wig in the Jewish community doing a great job killing Christians until God had Jesus have a little talk with him. Granted, he did blind poor Paul for a few days; but, in the process, Paul came to know that Jesus was for real and eventurally it cost him his life. There is this thing called the Great Commission that Jesus left for us to do. That is, we are to go into the world and introduce the unbelieving (unknowing) about the promise of salvation and everlasting life. We are only doomed if we choose to be.

We shouldn't forget that God's government operates under the principle of free will. He gives us a choice whether we will follow Him or not. Genuine love can only exist when a person chooses to love someone, without force.

Having said that, God does know the future. When someone is born God already knows if that person will be saved or not. So if God knows people will be lost, why does He still create them. That's because the principle of free will requires it. God does not have a "cookie cutter" that He uses to only create people who will love Him because that's unfair to the people who will choose to rebel against Him, their right to free will is taken away. They were never born, never given a chance to make a choice, their opportunity was taken away from them, and this act violates God's principle of choice and free will. Therefore, God gives every one an equal opportunity of choice.

I recommend reading the study guide below called "Did God Create the Devil?", it explains everything in much more detail.

God has created, is running, and will destroy the Universe. God is the Origin and Destination of the Universe. God was, is, will be everywhere, God was never Created and will never die / be destroyed. God is beyond Life and Death. All religions of world teach human way to get close to God. You give your Best, God will give thy Best. Ask God for help and forgive, God will help and forgive you. Pray; Worship and Thank God for everything. Remember wherever there is Happiness in Life, there will be Sorrow. To get Happiness, you must master Sorrow. For Success in Life; Believe in Self and God, Learn from Past, Concentrate in Present, Plan for Future. Have control on, be the master of, not the slave of your body, senses, and mind. Purpose of this Life is to Gain and Share utmost Knowledge and Experience to differentiate and choose Right, Good, God against Wrong, Bad, Devil. Set your Desire level perfect or OK to be brave, no low to be coward, no high to be cruel. You have rights of Survival, Self Defence, and Freedom.

Agree w/bongeme but he or she forgets that "God" if there is one isn't relevant per se beyond being the "ultimate judge". You have to be assuming the whole "original sin" thing given your wording. Here's the scoop on all that crap...Heaven and Hell are the HERE & NOW. Your life is what you make of it...Heavenly if you live respecting others and the environment; and Hellish if you disrespcect folks and treat the earth like crap. Simple and straight forward...Risk reward system developed in the Middle Ages by the ruling classes to CONTROL the pesants and give them some modicom of hope for their miserable lot in life. PEACE!

Great question, well the answer is very simple, although God knows for a fact everything (past present, future), he is merciful in giving us a choice, a choice to be good or to be bad (going to hell or heaven depends only on us) , that's why he gave us religion to find the right path and be good people.

So to answer your question, when creating a bad guy who will go to hell, he hopes he'll turn out to be good, because he gave him room to play, and that room called "CHOICE"

You don't have to go to hell. Jesus paid for your sins.

Genesis 6:6 (King James Version)
And it repented the LORD that he had made man on the earth, and it grieved him at his heart.

We are so mean to God. How would you feel if your creation hurt you? Like your son or daughter. You knew your child would be bad for a time, yet also knew that your child would be saved in the end and then you will always be with your child you love so much. Would you not want/have your child?

Hell is a choice.

God created man, knowing what he will end up doing in life, BUT still gives man the OPTION of doing the right thing. And man needs to have evil in life in order to appreciated what he gets from God, Now don't get me wrong I did NOT say God made evil. Evil is a choice that man makes to follow satan. Even though He knows what will happen to us it is still up to us to make the right decisions in life and live by God's word

What if each thing authentic as much as the ingredient while He (no longer it, God's a man or woman) returns, is actual His unique plan and He allowed us all to journey a life-time of thoughts to realize that a large bang out of no longer something can no longer create love, in basic terms God, who's love, positioned that interior of us and set us loose to choose for - God is the ingredient or there is not any ingredient.

Inevitably, it is God who decides whether or not we go to heaven or hell. First, though, we must make the decision on whether we chose to follow God or to lead a sinful life. God does not make that decision for us. When we lead a sinful life God does not even know us. It is only when we live a life of obedience to God that the Holy Spirit will live inside of us.
