voodoo is occult. It is dangerous as you are dealing with evil spirits who deceive and lead people into believing doctrines of devils.
Yes, I believe it exists and that satan is behind it.

Voodoo was a movement in the 50s and 60s to revive some religions from Africa in Haiti. A man named Papa Doc promoted this concept and used the superstitions and beliefs to control the people of Haiti.
He claimed he could call up demons, and he had people who wore top hats and painted thier faces like skeletons running around doing his work. The people were terrified of these men because they believed they were demons.
His son, Baby Doc took over control of Haiti, but wasn't as vicious and controlling as his father, and was eventually overthrown.
Through all this, the superstitions and voodoo were continued and some people still practice them today.

I believe something like voodoo can only affect those who believe in it's power,I have not been in contact with voodoo but others tried to "affect" me with their own beliefs in a paranormal sense and it had no affect what so ever,but thats because I firmly believe I have never met anyone capable of that....yet

Vodou is a complex, rich and ancient spiritual system based on honoring the ancestors which is meant to help an individual, family and community maintain spiritual balance. If you truly are interested in the spiritual traditions of the African Diaspora I recommend reviewing some of the books and web sites listed below.

Voudoun is a still-surviving African religion thriving in Africa and the Carribean.
It is not Hollywood hocus-pocus, and is not for dabblers, amusement and vendettas, any more than you would stop by a mosque on a whim and ask for a jihad against a rival sports team.
it is a serious and viable religion, not a stereotype.
