Saint Benedict the Moor Fraternity is a small community of men and women drawn together by our mutual desire to follow Christ and the teachings of the Church as exemplified by St. Francis and St. Clare. They strive to meet together monthly to participate actively in prayer, worship and sharing our faith in community.

They believe, naively, that they are called to witness and encounter the living and active presence of Jesus in Scripture, in the Eucharist, and in fellowship with each other, and to be the light of Christ to those they meet in daily life.

They also believe they can call upon the Holy Spirit to nurture them in various apostolates and guide their ongoing formation as loving Christ-centered Franciscan families. They embrace the Blessed Virgin Mary as their protectress and advocate.
