I'd like to write my own, have found a few examples, but the ritual has to be performed indoors. Any hints, tips, examples, etc. would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance. Blessed Be!

It is my choice to do it indoors, for physical and health reasons.

Yes, writing a self dedication ritual is a good move. But why does the rite have to performed indoors? If you can escape into the country (should you live in a big city etc) tfhen all the better.
You can make the rite as long or as short as you want. Ask yourself whether you will be doing it covered or skyclad? Day time or evening.
Find and use your favourite incense...Nag Champa is a great incense for virtually any occasion. And use white candles...as white covers the whole spectrum of colour and saves hunting round for any specific ones....unless you know where to get your favs. But white is the most apppropriate as it is the colour of new beginnings...and purity.
Hope I have helped, if only a little bit.

Before dedicating (all dedications are self-dedications), I strongly recommend picking a tradition to start with. In your case it sounds like one where solitary practice is welcomed would be a good fit.
http://www.witchvox.com/xtrads.html is a good source to look for a trad. Educate yourself about the myths some of them might spread first, try http://wicca.timerift.net for that, and run in the opposite direction of any that charges money, but you will find that being able to network with others of a like mind will help you out immensely.
Dedication should be intensely personal, and a good trad will help you write the rite you need but not dictate one.

Try the one in Scott Cunningham's book "Wicca: A Guide for the Solitary Practitioner."

the strongest aspect of any ritual is its intent. all you really need to do is call out to the universe, the rest of the ritual is a tool to help you focus your intent. i find that offerings help me the most, so my rituals almost always involve scattering bread crumbs or water in my power grove or collecting them in a libation bowl to be left outside later. go with your instinct. the location is not important, but a place that resonates with you on a spiritual level will help you focus.

they do not have to be performed in your home, but if the weather is nasty out, or cold, u may have to do so. Scott Cunningham has a couple, but the one I am gonna use is from a website and the name of it I can't recall, but it is in my BOS. I love it, it is sweet, moving and kinda lengthy, but I look forward to doing this. I hope u find the top two helpful. BB.

There are a lot of books about being a wiccan if they haven't banned them at your bookstore yet.

It does not HAVE to be done outdoors. There is no stipulation in Wicca where any ritual needs to be done. Email me through my profile.
