If you drink milk with the Vicodin can you take a whole one? My son always has trouble with the Vicodin when he has teeth problems. Usually throws it up. Drinking milk and or eating something and then in about 20/30 minutes take the Vicodin. I am wondering if the bone fragment is festering up under the skin, hence more pain from an infected area. I'd call the Dentist...and not wait til Wed....Can you hold ice cold water in your mouth?? That helps my Son. Also that will reduce swelling. Good Luck Sweetie

Yes, as long as you doctor did prescribe the Vicodin. Vicodin has Tylenol in it. Advil and Motrin have ibuprofen in it. I would take the Vicodin first, if little or no relief, try the Advil or Motrin 1-2 hrs later. If still little or no relief....call your dentist.

I might be wrong, but you might want to look on the bottle for adverse reactions and make sure they don't have the same roots as aspirin, in that case you will have more bleeding. I would stick with Tylenol just make sure you don't go over 4Grams with in 24hrs. The vicodin will read one of these 5/500(7.5/325, 10/325) the larger number(500, 325) is the milligrams of the tylenol. Next best thing ice .

Try taking the vicoden with yogurt or bread. That will help calm the stomach. You can take more then just the vicoden but not reccomended...take about an hour after if you need to but not at the exact moment.
Gargle with warm salt water...I know...ew but it works. Try some numbing gel from the store...doesn't last long but does help a lil. Try putting heat on the side of you mouth that hurts. Don't suck...like through a straw.

Are you serious? TAKE THE VICODIN. It helps. I didn't even get vicodin when I got one of them taken out and it really sucked. Ibuprofen is for like muscle aches or headaches. You should NOT take more than 500 mg of it. You were prescribed the vicodin for a reason, take it. It really helps.

You should just take what was given to you, don't go mixing all together... it can be dangerous.
Actually.. vicodin should be more than enough..
