If you had only rationally examined the evidence, without including faith or testimonies, would you still have concluded that God existed?

If so, what evidence would have led you to this conclusion?

"Faith is the evidence of things unseen." I don't know what that means.

I have rationally examined all the evidence and I chose science and logic and common sense over superstition and religion. I did all this before I turned 21 and I never had a reason to change.

No, it was as I rationally compared the evidence, and still do by the way, that I realized that there was no reason to have faith.

I understand that the thought is that you have faith without evidence, but physical acts in this world (The Flood, Exodus, the sun stopping, 6 hours of darkness, etc) leave evidence and should have impacted many cultures. As of yet, there is nothing to indicate that these events may have happened.

I'm convinced that belief in the existence of God is a learned response to life. We are TOLD that there is a God etc etc....long before we ever ask ourselves the question. We are told that something is real and exists, and we should believe in it....believing in it and having faith in it are the same things. People dont need evidence. Evidence can be manipulated. Just look at the "EVIDENCE" that there were WMD's in Iraq and we went to war because of the EVIDENCE. It was all manipulated and fraudulently passed off as truth, just like the evidence that god exists. It is in the interest of untaxed, money-grabbing modern day churches to promote the existence of a god that doesnt exist in order to control people and ultimately to have dominion of the world.

Dont take my word for it. Read it for yourself. There are disturbing similarities with the Christian Church and the Nazi Party, similarities that, in the event of prolonged social instability or a national crisis, see American fascists, under the guise of religion, rise to dismantle the open society. Liberals, who, as in Nazi Germany, mouth silly platitudes about dialogue and inclusiveness that make them ineffectual and impotent. Liberals do not understand the power and allure of evil nor the cold reality of how the world works.

The current hand wringing by Democrats in the wake of the election, with many asking how they can reach out to a movement whose leaders brand them "demonic" and "satanic," do not surprised me . Those who would fight effectively in coming times of turmoil, a fight that is an integral part of the Biblical message, came from the church and the liberal, secular elite.

According to almost every religion, NO.

We needed a teacher or prophet or something to come down from Heaven and educate us.

Sir Issac Newton, the greatest scientific mind to ever live, was also convinced so don't try to use science as a way out. If anything, sceince proves the existence of God. People who use science as a means of disproving God know little about both subjects. Science is God's "how".

Yes I would, although I wouldn't be inclined to act upon the belief. All I have to do is look at the world around me, there is no way I could ever be convinced that this could have happened by some accident.
There had to be a design to it because it is so very fragile and perfect in harmony. Go to a national park and spend a few hours in the wilderness contemplating it. If you come away thinking it was just chance, you are delusional.

Yes, I believe in God. I have rationally examined the evidence and can find no other conclusion. I don't think you understand the words faith and belief.. YOU need to search for God on your own. No one can give you faith, or belief. Keep looking and you will find HIm

Yes, but only as the non-material field of reality responsive to consciousness. However, unity consciousness and synchronicity (with this field) requires giving up your conditioned faith (beliefs) altogether.

What evidence? Direct experience of reality shifts related to unconflicted states of consciousness.

Even if you can trace our steps back to the smallest microbial - speck of a specks speck, you still can't tell me how that got here without there being a God to have put it here.

So yes I do still believe no matter what.
