I have recently stopped taking fluexotine for depression. I was quite surprised that the doctor just let me come straight off them without lowering the dose. Ive been off them for three weeks now and am just starting to feel really wierd. Any help is welcomed

After taking Effexor for 6 months, I tried to quit taking it. However, I was very dizzy and felt sick. I started to slowly wean myself off of the medication by taking it every other day for a week, then every two or three days, etc. Finally, I have quit taking it. Horrible feeling - I understand your pain. Your doctor ought to know that.

There is a virus going around, I was dizzy for a few days, my mom was dizzy for a week. If you went off prozac 3 weeks ago, i very much doubt it would be having a negative medical a=effect on you now. It would have been right after you stopped taking it. There is a virus form of vertigo, it is called labrinthitis. Hope you feel better.

I'm always amazed when people ask medical questions in Yahoo answers. SEE YOUR DOCTOR. Even if you get advise here, it isn't worth anything and might be very wrong.
